Review: Aisaka Taiga by Kotobukiya

I am here as promised Taiga review: You spent more time than I wanted, but the reason is very simple. The photo shoot is not much, I made it in the evening in the yellowish light of my room, I hoped, therefore, be able to redo the service, but now every weekend in Genoa is a half-flood, while during the week because of work never comes in time to catch the daylight. Therefore I can only apologize for the quality of the pictures (and a dark flash, a pairing fatal) and refer you to a possible, future new service.

Aisaka Taiga is the star of Toradora [read my review] , which in my humble opinion, is a comedy the most successful romantic and original of recent years, at least in Japanese animation. The series is very well known and appreciated and enjoyed the character of many statues dedicated to her, who for one reason or another I've always missed, especially in the anime because my favorite character was Ami Kawashima, no Taiga. That was until the Kotobukiya did not present this version, which I hastened to pre-order.

The model builds on the last episode of the series, the only one where you see Taiga the sailor wearing the uniform and submissive behavior, having finally made his feelings clear in relation to the protagonist. The representation of the character would say it is perfect, like the original in appearance and pose, it is a fairly simple statue, her hands are clasped behind his back, his face betrays a certain embarrassment, while the cascade of hair makes the part much more voluminous. The uniform is very simple and the only quirk is the slight rise of the skirt, which you can see the white petticoat of the girl.

Overall, the figure is large enough, the proportion is 1 \\ 6 , and unexpectedly heavy, to the benefit of the stability of the same: from the photos I was afraid that those legs so thin barely hold the upper part of the model, but once taken in hand the original I would say that the problem does not arise. The collection makes a posture LAYING PVC easily anywhere, because it occupies very little space.

As usual Kotobukiya work is very good, even though the end can not be said that excels in nothing. I found the idea pretty much the top of the base in purple velvet, an idea, however, already seen in other models of this producer (Celestia Shining Wind ). Overall, I think one of the best figures about this character, whose purchase is therefore recommended to fans: I hope to devote as much care as a model also Minorin Ami and the other protagonists of the series, which unlike Taiga still can not pvc boast decent for them.
